I love these Rock Band cinematics, and this new one for The Beatles does not disappoint. And I’ll be hyped to see this in the cinemas! It’ll be so much better than the usual crap they show in “The 2wenty“.

Hudson Mohawke is WOW right now!

Love the cover art! Subtle photoshop text of hands creating the name with little digital lightning all over explains perfectly what Mr. Mohawke is all about. And this little video, which I guess is an internet app and not the official video, perfectly matches the sound of his best track.

Given the state of:

Hip-hop/my sense of humor/ringtone rap and so on, however, I don’t feel that that’s an issue. Maybe it works in my favor. Is it possible that to have a hit record these days, it’s better not to be vested in what you’re writing about?

Anyway, I figure I need:

A little Casio beat that sounds good on crappy speakers, some effects, about four lines, and a dance. Should take about an hour. If you want to come over and help, we can get it down to forty minutes, maybe. If Soulja Boy can tell ‘em, I can too.

i don’t know who’s making these animatic trailers for the new Will Smith movie “I Am Legend” but they blow the “Heroes” animated comic books completely out of the water!

The Hamlet Safety Project is an experiment in
comprehension through music.

It seeks to emphasize understanding through connecting contemporary musical language with that of classical literature. And considering how popular music, and hip-hop specifically, has helped spread English and slang around the world, I’m curious to see if these connections can make it easier for people who are learning English as a second language as well as those trying to understand the messages of Shakespeare.
